Most times that's the case. It depends on the circumstances but I would say yes...if you're waiting on news, or if someone is away and you're worried..chances are no news IS good news.

No news leaves too many things to the imagination, and in my case it tends to make mind wander to the worst possible scenarios... I'd prefer bad news to no news at all.
