I barely installed the Windows Home Edition to my computer every thing is working properly except for the sound. I tried to see if it was just the volume but I have no audio output device. How do I get that and what should I do?

Do you have a sound card in your computer? It could be built onto the motherboard. The best way to know is to see if you have the 3 sound jacks in the back of the computer.

If you do, make sure you are plugging them into the correct jack. Newer computers use color coding and the jack for speakers is the green one.

If all that is ok, then if you have the sound built onto the motherboard you will have to look at the BIOS and see if it is enabled.

Still good? Then do your speakers need batteries or external power?

Do your speakers work? Check on a different computer.

If all of these are OK, then repost your question.

if you have no audio output device, then you have nothing to play the sounds. u should get pc speakers or try headphones. try plugging in the headphones or speakers into the audio output jack on the back of your pc tower

More than likely you have burned up your sound card and you need to replace it. Try that and then see what happens.
