Your question does state in our own country, so if you're looking for quality, this is THE site for the the UK! Hatton Garden isn't a retailer, but is London's jewellery quarter and the UK's diamond centre. Within Hatton Garden there are 55 shops and more than 1,000 jewellers, craftspeople and designers. This is a very good website too and lists all the shops, addresses, telephone numbers, etc., within Hatton Garden, as well as lots of other information.! Enjoy

You know this is a fascinating question because the hype involved in creating so called 'important' jewellery shop is nothing but 'bull***". I was in Tiffanys in NY last year, over from the UK, and the whole think is one big hype promotion ....... beautiful surroundings, guys in expensive suits .... but mundane overpriced jewellery. It's just like paying for a designer name .... why do it?

Definately Cartiers the shop in Paris has such wonderful gems
Also try Holland, the Diamond House there is priceless
