Love is charity.

It is giving without expecting to receive, and receiving without worrying about giving back ( my personal challenge with love ).

" Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes."

Love is not a kiss. It is a warming tenderness, a quiet patience, habitual respect, and unconditional devotion. It is conversations which result in positive actions and never harsh knee-jerk reactions. These mature, but ever growing, emotionally sparked actions are gratefully given and received. Each partner's professed love proves genuine or false through their anticipation of and action upon needs that only they, the beloved, can meet. Partners realize that words alone can be taken back, manipulated, or misunderstood. When endearing words are accompanied with corresponding actions, sincere love is known. This is a poem I wrote when my daughter was in a relationship where the guy was using her and I wanted to make her see that he didn't really love her because love never hurts. It helped.I call it LOVE IS NOT A KISS. I have it printed in 2 poetry books already. Hope this helps.

A temporary insanity curable by marriage or by removal of the patient from the influences under which he incurred the disorder. This disease, like caries and many other ailments, is prevalent only among civilized races living under artificial conditions; barbarous nations breathing pure air and eating simple food enjoy immunity from its ravages. It is sometimes fatal, but more frequently to the physician than to the patient.
