i have narrowed down to the HP pavillion dv2025 TU and the LENOVO 3000 N100 but just cant make up my mind..
i dont have high end graphics needs but will need to give 3D presentations and walkthroughs ...please please gimme some good advice!

I think HP is the better choice. They are very reliable and better than most. You should be happy with a HP.

GET THE HP!!!!! I just got the HP 2025...its one of the best notebooks i've ever owned!!!!! it has a 14.1 inch screen so its mobile and its very light...if you are going to be showing presentations on your notebook...this might not the the one because the screen is small...but if you are planning to hook up a projector or something...then this would be great...also HP has great customer service so they are a very reliable company...something happened to my friends HP so he shipped it and got it back in 4 days...my point is....GET THE HP!!!!!

what they all said. We've heard of HP and their laptops don't suck. We don't know a lenovo from the back end of a cow so we don't trust it. Sony Vaio is popular amongst my more savvy friends; I'm a dipshit so I've got a boring old Dell (which is ok, though could be better)

see this is easy to say get hp or the len people will most of the time answer with there own specific preference but i do agree with the previous post NEVER get a dell if you can post the specs of the lappy i could give you a better answer

I want a laptop too, but I haven't heard of the other brand, so go with the HP. They are a reliable company. Some of the other brands that aren't as popular aren't quality and reliable. Just don't get a DELL! We have one and it has failed us frequently

HP is worth it way more as the name brand is bigger too... Also HP support is very very good

go to PC world and talk to one of the staff, they are less than £500 now, cant believe i bought one 12 monts ago for £1200
