Ditto Adaware (google it, it's free, unobtrusive and excellent) and spybot (also free). Between these two you should get rid of it, but failing that (it happens), google for some of the alert messages your spyware is flashing on your screen and a forum somewhere will have the solution to clearing it. I also use Spyware Doctor (google it), which gets rid of a few of the things spybot doesn't, but it's more obtrusive and it costs. I've had my share of spyware and they can all be got rid of one way or another. Virus detectors don't find them because they're not viruses.

It means you can go back to porn sites again, too. ;o)

Yeah, you shouldn't get the software they tell you to because well, it's a joke; it'll get you nowhere. Try a system restore to a date that you didn't have the virus. Remember to back up all your data first. Or, you can try some antivirus software here

As a last restort, you can reinstall your OS. But of course, you want to back up pretty much every file that you created on your computer.

you should download ad-aware. it will find most viruses that symantic won't. you can also go to a website called housecall that will scan your computer for free. its always a good idea to use multiple anti-virus software to make sure that every possibility has been checked. if none of these work, you might have to rollback your system to the last good date.

then goto
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_frame.asp
this will do a online virus scan.

Hi Maggi,

It looks liks a spyware. a program which when executed leads to another web site or link which offers ad's and softwares and can also reveal your information to public domain as to what sites you go and what email_id you use and things like that. Use Adware or search and destroy to clean them up. You can get them from www.zdnet.com (in the search type adware)

Not a problem! There are few ways you can fix it the simple way is to find a spyware remover and or adaware remover and install it and run through it.
now there are alot free ones on google like adaware
there is one free simple scanner with auto fix option you can choose to remove spyware.
housecall.trendmicro.com/

go to task manager go to the applications tab and look for the one that it would be and select end task reboot computer and see if it comes back. If your antivirus is up to date and you scanned your computer it is just an annoying popup add if it still comes back go to ewido.com and download their free software and it will remove it
