Despite popular belief tarantulas are not particularly venomous. They myth is down to Hollywood which has made several films using it's fearsome appearance to promote horror. There are 800 different species of tarantula and if bitten by one you will get a nasty and painful rash. If bitten by a cobra .... you die. Also if a cobra bit a tarantula it would kill it by penetration, not poison since the tarantula would be crushed before the venom took effect.

That's kind of a no brainer. The tarantula. Think about the size of the mouth for one thing. Even if the cobra venom had no effect, the pressure of just the size of it's mouth will crush alot of that tarantula.

Since the common tarantula is not deadly and the cobra is, I am thinking the cobra will be the victor.
