Fairmont Park in Collinsville for some horse racing. Make sure you visit a Ted Drew forzen custard while you are here. Dave and Busters. We have plenty of boats. Two near downtown. The president on the Missouri side of river and Casino Queen on Ill. I recommend the President. The casino queen is very smokey cause of its low ceiling. President has high ceilings so its not that much of a problem. There is Harrahs, which is close to dave and busters. Ameristar is in Stcharles coutny over blanchet bridge. If you like adult entertainment, that is on the east side. There is a Penthouse Club in sauget...first exit over poplar street bridge. We also have Larry Flynts Hustler Club. Straight out HWY 64, take washington park exit. Near Larry flynts is Hollywood...do not go there. They appearntly take the strippers from the other clubs when they get too old.

We have six flags down Hwy 44 a little ways past Fenton....Thats a good way to kill a whole day. The zoo and Grants farm is another way to kill a day. Science center and Art museums as well.

Pay a visit to some of our Missouri Winerys. Go down 44 and take the Washington exit. There are several wineries in that general area. The most notable are Mount Pleasent in augusta and Stone Hill in Herman. If you go to Stone Hill, make sure you take your camera. There is a very beautiful view of the town of Herman from there.

I travel a lot (more than once a month, both national and international), so when I got the chance to visit St Louis, I jumped on it. And to be quite honest, it was one of the more disappointing places I've visited.

The Science Museum is quite nice. You can also visit the ballparks. The local breweries are decent. There is a place just past the stadium, where they are supposed to serve the best ribs (I forgot the name, but all the locals seems to know of it)

I went to the arch, which is a spectacular piece of construction, btw. I went to the top (which was not free), and had to ride these "egg-like" things which rocked back and forth and was very tight and can be fun if you don't mind, but if you are claustrophobic, it would be a very long and rough ride to to the top. When you get to the top, you'll see a magnificent view of Missouri, Mississippi, etc. Unfortunately, there is only room for an observation deck on top, and there is no restaurant/cafe/store. Everything is at the base of the Arch.

If you go off-season (no baseball, football, etc.) the place is quite dead. Forget downtown. Go to the central west end/midtown area, where the epicurious and hipsters hang out.

Also, not quite the city and not quite the suburbs, Clayton and University City area offer a comfortable mix of the two. Clayton's Carondelet corridor is still growing and developing, and it's sure to be aided by the almost-fi nished MetroLink expansion. With the younger crowd drawn toward its hip amenities and proximity to downtown, University City's diverse mix of residents is still growing.

Don't cross the river, unless you know where you are going, or with someone who does. It's not a bad place, but it is not the greatest place to lose your way, either.
