Working. Since everybody thought that Y2K was going to be the undoing of many a computer system I had to stand by & if chaos broke out, get the computers back up & running. Fortunately, it was all a waste of time.

If you mean on the eve when 1999 turned to 2000, I was in a hotel suite in Sunnyvale, California with a group of at least a dozen other people. We were all there for a party being thrown by my friend Jenny. Some of the people were friends of mine; others were friends of Jenny's whom I met for the first time. We had food and drinks, played games, took pictures, hung out, listened to music and watched TV.

When the countdown to midnight started on TV, some of us had flashlights ready, because we wondered if the power was going to go out. (LOL - how silly this seems now!) We were feeling festive but also anxious, because of the HUGE hype that had been going on for weeks, regarding how all sorts of things are going to fall apart when the year turns to 2000.

Of course, nothing at all happened! *chuckle* Some folks left the party soon after, and some stayed longer. A lot of us (myself included) made the smart move of obtaining rooms in the hotel that night, because driving on New Year's is a frightening prospect! Plus, having rooms in the same hotel as the party enabled us to have some drinks and not worry about driving. I roomed with a few friends.

All in all, a GREAT way to ring in a GREAT new year! :D

great concepts from each and every physique, yet in simple terms had to feature one greater beneficial ingredient given which you're first-timers: everywhere you pass with directly to pass, do not tension. fairly, do in simple terms not. there are diverse highway closures on New Years Eve, parking is particularly constrained besides as being tremendously in call for. Scope out your public shipping concepts in the previous than time, and enable lots of time for delays. oftentimes they provide a coupon value value tag on NYE, that's a good deal -- oftentimes around $5 or so, endless bus-prepare-ferry return and forth till at last some generous hour day after at contemporary. (or in simple terms end your evening with a sleep on the grass at McMahon's ingredient and head domicile later indoors the morning. I assure you isn't the sole one sound asleep there)

I was 13 then and hanging out at my Uncle's house with his wife, my cousin, my mom, and brother. I remember being bored out of my mind and waiting for the world to end... lol because everyone thougth the computers would all shut down because they wouldn't be able to compute the time change to 2000, or something crazy like that.

I hated that New Years.

Watching TV waiting for the ball to drop. My daughter works for a computer firm. She had to go in at 11:45. My other two daughters were at parties. I wasn't scared because since1900 came in without a hitch, I knew everything would be all right.

We went to Opryland [Nashville, TN]. We went to a show on New Year's Eve and a party at the hotel, and then they had fireworks.

I was 16 years old, riding around downtown with my friends. We were all waiting for the lights to go out. We were pretty exited.

Our excitement was shortly abrupted. I don't think I need to explain.

:)
