Unless it is far bigger than I would expect, you can leave it alone. If you insist on removing it be sure you have deleted the printer from "Printers and Faxes". Then start Windows in "safe" mode and you should be able to delete the file. It is probably not letting you delete it because the system is grabbing it at startup. This will not happen in safe mode.

lxbkmcro is a .dll driver from Lexmark. If the printer is still plugged into the computer, unplug it.
Some ideas that might help.
1)Click Start / Run and type in 'regedit' and search for lxbkmcro but be Extremely Careful while in the regedit. One slight typo and your computer may no longer work. Suggest before you delete it from the registry (if the search finds it) do a registry back up by clicking Start / Run / scanreg /w (note the space between g /. This will back up the registry in its current state. When you do your search, hi-lite 'my computer' click on edit / find. F3 key will find next entry. If you use Windows ME or XP, go to your System Restore and create a 'manual restore point' Before You Do Anything. This way, should something go crazy, you can restore your computer using Safe Mode back to its working state.
2)If you do not feel comfortable running regedit, try deleting the .dll in SafeMode.
3)There is a small program that will fit on a floppy, i.e. AnalogX
Go to: http://www.analogx.com/CONTENTS/download/system/dllarch.htm (be sure to include the above address 'exactly' as it appears including upper and lower case letters, in your browser and read about AnalogX DLL Archive and download it onto your floppy. It is super easy to use and will rid your computer of all 'unused' 'not-needed' .dll files. And if by chance you archive a .dll you need, all is not lost. You can select pick and restore the file. Good Luck.

I would try contacting Lexmark directly about this matter. The file should just be able to be removed normally/manually but then again it may not.

If there was a CD with the printer then access it and look for the proper 'uninstall' programme/file within the CD to see if you can remove it.

If you're in London I could always come round and remove it for you personally and totally free too. Otherwise you could visit my Yahoo! Answers profile, contact me and we'll go through other steps to remove it

Let me know.

:-)

I would contact Lexmark themselves. They're pretty helpful though the file you want to remove is probably adware/spyware that comes with the software for the hardware so try a good spyware/adware remover like AVG.

Try rebooting then deleting the file...if it still doesn't work, try deleting it in Safe Mode.
