EMO is a load of crap for rich kids with good lives. they cry and slit themselves and write poems about death. good joke for you; "i wish my grass was emo so it would cut itself."

Emo is nothing like goth music at all. The only thing they share is that they both derive from punk music, although Emo comes from hardcore punk music and goth from regular old punk music.
Sure, some Emo people dress like goths, but the music is way different. In Emo people are more likely to scream (I mean really scream) and "cry" whereas goths are more likely to be melancholy and reflective. Original Emo is nothing at all like the emo we hear now whereas you can still find a significant amount of new goth rockers reflecting old school goth sentiments.

The music is good but they are a bit annoying. I was gonna take the style, but I came to my senses while watching a HIM video on VH1 and realised it look kinda stupid!

It's all about being EMOtional and depressed and dressing in dark clothing or looking like Goth's/Vampires etc etc etc.
