im 6ft tall. and 16 years old. i wanted to know if i can still wear heels and not look like a toal freak? because i always have trouble finding shoes for "formal" events..for example my prom is comming up this year...and i am like FREAKING. and like whenever i go looking for formal shoes..all the nice pretty ones that i want are heels...and all the flats are like ugly and i don tlike them...help?

Of course you can wear heels! You will not look like a freak, as long as you can walk in them. Some tall women can't walk in them at all so they do look like freaks! But I would not worry about it. When I was in High School I had a lot of friends that were really tall and their major concern regarding heels were their dates, they didn't want to be taller than their dates, so as long as you are with someone who is taller than you, and you can walk in them, and the heels are Hot, go for it girl!

Kitten heels are a really good solution to your problem. Kitten heels are about 1-3 inches off the ground and won't hurt your feet as much as pumps would. You can wear these around boys so they still feel like the "big tall man" ;)
Flipflops, ballet flats, and wedges would also look good seeing as most women would DIE for tall, long legs that you have.

You're right, flats are ugly for formal events.
I think you definitely can wear heels. Look at models, they are just as tall as you and whenever they're attending some special event they have heels on and look good.
You should do what you like and what feels right for you. If you like heels, wear them! :)

Ur gonna look amazing in 6 inch heels. You'll be 6'6"!
I wonder if you'd date a an amazingly goodlooking, buff guy with a surprisingly large endowment if he was only 5'7" tall.
Ohhh....ur only 16.......ummmm....I better look elsewhere, sorry.
I say wear heels. U won't look like a freak. People may be intimidated by ur height that's all.

i know exactly how u feel i am 5'9 and it is impossible to find cute shoes for tall women. what i do is get a 1 to 2 inch heel. they r more comfortable but it will take a long time to find cute 1 to 2 inch heels good luck.

Heck yes you can. The way to tone it down, if you're worried about looking too tall, is to have a more simple dress. What I mean is don't go for the giant poofy princess dress, but something more sleek and sultry. This will help keep your legs looking awesome and you're whole silhouette won't be overpowering.
