I am probably going to relocate from San Antonio, Texas to Carlsbad New Mexico. I have been offered a position as a Roustabout in the oil fields. I am just trying to see if there is any type of night life or partying to do.

If you are into cars roswell or artesia have street racers out on friday and saturday nights. Clubbing wise the closest place would be El Paso/Juarez. Alburquerque has good spots too but it is a lot further that is an overnight trip from carlsbad

Carlsbad is several hours from Santa Fe. Carlsbad is very close to El Paso - that's probably where you would hang.
Santa Fe is a really terrific little city, but not a party town. You might prefer Albuquerque - but again, why drive that far?
