I think that embarassment is a product of self awareness and not all animals are self aware. Koko, gorilla who was taught sign language back in the 70's expressed a wide range of "human" emotions including embarassment.
I doubt dogs and cats are like that. After they've sniffed each other butts, drank from a toilet, coughed up a furball or mated with their mom, what's left to feel embarassed about?

Yes, although I have seen this behavior more with dogs than with cats. I once laughed at a very fat dachshund trying to jump onto the couch and being unable to and the dog hid its head behind its paws and went to lie under the couch in embarrassment.
Dogs will disclose a range of emotions. Also they will know when they have done something wrong and display embarrassment and/or fear.

I don't know about a large number of people laughing at the creature, but I know my dog used to feel really embarassed or rather ashamed when he did something he knew was bad or wrong. He would hang his head and sit very quietly in a corner of the room.
It's not something we taught him to do at all.
Sometimes he would sulk under the coffee table, which was his "space." He wouldn't budge when he knew he had been a bad dog. We never had to yell at him, he just knew we were upset and he would hide.

No. Embarrassment is an intelligent emotion. It comes from a person thinking about what other people are thinking.
Other animals could care less about what people are thinking.

I've seen dogs who get very "sheepish" after they've had an accident in the house or something. I don't know if it is exactly "embarassed" but they know when they do something wrong.
I don't think laughing at them would do it. More likely they would interpret that as a sign of aggression and get defensive.

i do no longer think of animals have that emotion, yet they do have countless others, no count if some human beings think of so, or no longer. the clarification I say they do no longer experience embarrassment, is as a result: once you get embarrassed, why are you embarrassed? it is me, whether it is because of the fact i comprehend I in simple terms finished something stupid, and that i think of human beings are going to snort at me. might a canines fairly think of human beings might snort at it?

Yes, I think when dogs figure out they have done something wrong, they put their head down and start getting all meek.
I don't think cats get embarassed, they are a more proud creature.

I've seen cats get embarrassed after a fall. They probably don't understand laughter.

I believe so, animals have feelings and do express them. So why can't they be embarrassed?

I don't know. I do know that they feel happy/sad but maybe thats all they feel. I love animals I would never want them to feel bad.
