A question that has plagued men for a long time. Just to clarify, my love for cars comes for a great part from the fascination of how engineers and mechanics can tune and tweek a machine of over 1000 parts to make a nice ride. Or my fascination with firearms comes solely from the fascination of how one can balance a few metal parts so finely that it can hit a target with pin point precision up to 1000 yards away. All my male friends look towards there interests pretty much the same. I have never been able to explain this view to a woman: to most of you a car is just 4 wheels and an engine that drive you places, or a gun is just something for hunting or killing. Do any of the ladies here feel differently? Why or why not

I do appreciate the gift of life enough to love babies. And so do most of the men I know!

Yeah - I have a thing for grease monkeys and gear heads. Drag races and the smell of Autozone drives me wild for some reason.

I also drive a '65 Mustang. She rips the quarter mile.

Gets 'em everytime - but only that "special guy" is allowed to touch my engine.

There are few things sexier than a man who looks good in his coveralls bent over a hood, especially if he doesn't try to scam me.

Oh! You don't mean people!

Well, I've seen female mechanics. I can put furniture together, change my own oil, fix a copier jam, and figure out why my air conditioner isn't working. My mom taught me to do most of that.

I don't think it's particularly a gender thing. I think children are still raised differently in this society--how many little girls are given Legos, for instance?

Here is the funny thing, it was like you were discribing me and my husband. There is nothing sweeter to me then to know how everything fits together and why it work (I am a mechanical engineer). My husband on the other hand just wants the car to go and the radio to work and the TV to show whatever he wants to watch at the moment.

I like mechanics because they can fix my ever -breaking car, they can teach ME how to fix it.
I just love a man with dirty hands. It shows how hard they have been working.
I shot in competition for years. I quite enjoyed it and am looking forward at getting back to it in the future.

Honestly..no.

Most men think of babies as another mouth to feed and cost money.

Do you feel that it's a whole human being with an intracate life with millions of choices and interests and possibilites that can bring you joy for decades upon decades?

I like mechanics -it's sort of sexy when a bloke can fix things.... That's going to give all the wrong ideas. And I love that oily smell too....
