share your thoughts if you play GTA

Okay... GTA is a violent game and makes no bones about being as anti-PC as possible. Everyone knows it's not a nice game. It's a bit of the old over-the-top ultra-violence.

It does a good job of vilifying itself on it's own, so why do people insist on trying to make it sound worse than it is?

First off... you don't rape prostitutes. By virtue of them being prostitutes you don't have to rape them.. they are more than happy to jump in your car and make it bounce for a few bucks. Raping them is not ever an option, nor should it be.

They get paid.. you get a health meter that rises. It's win-win.

As for murdering them.. yeah, you can do that. You can murder anyone in the game. It's really nothing personal against the prostitutes. No different than when you shoot a gang member or pedestrian and take their cash.

So.. my thoughts?

Simple.. the over-sensitive media spin is laughable.

It's a game. I myself have taken a virtual prostitute to a dark lot, let her bounce me into health, waited for her to get out of the car, and then ran her over to retrieve my cash.
It was "mean". It was over the top and had my friends laughing and saying "Oh, you are cold!!"... and led us into a half hour rendition of the "B* Better Have My Money" poem from "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka".

Despite the laughs and fun I have managed to continue my life as normal without the sudden urge to begin preying on prostitutes.

Because it's a GAME.

Too bad the powers that be don't consider us intelligent enough to make that distinction.
