I was sweeping my kitchen floor this morning and found in two seperate areas little "worms". They were about half an inch long, white with a darker area on one end. Any ideas?

Yep, It's nothing to be ashamed of, they are maggots and people find more of them in the summer.

You will have to check both areas and look for any rotten food, perhaps that is where you keep your rubbish bin, or maybe a mouse that died and rotted in one of your cupboards.

Those are maggots. Usually found in spoiled food.
