Yes, space is bent or curved by matter (i.e. the Earth, stars, galaxies, and even you and me). This is because all matter emits a gravitational field (meaning that all matter attracts each other). This gravitational field can curve spacetime, which is equivalent to saying that objects will fall toward the center of a graviational field because the path of an object moving in space follows the curvature of spacetime.

Look at the Big Bang theory.
If space was not bent, it would exist in a plane. However, the Big Bang theory suggests the universe came from a small, hot, dense area and expanded outward.
In 3 dimentions, if something expands outward without any internal or external forces acting upon the expansion, the expansion will move outward in a spherical shape.
If you believe in the Big Bang Theory, then I guess space can be bent as it doesn't exist in a plane.

Actually because gravity exists EVERYWHERE in the universe there is NO space anywhere that is not "bent" to some degree or another.
All space everywhere is distorted. The higher the local gravitational field the greater the distortion.

Space can be distorted but to bend it would mean that you could grasp it and manipulate space which as we all know is not possible

Actually most of us dont know what 'law of relativity' is all about, thats why we keep asking such questions.
But coming to your question simply the answer is yes.
"The universe is expanding"
thats what proves the bending of space.
