I was just wondering, seeing how he was blamed for the Sep 11 attacks but Pres. Bush did say he wasn't that concerned about him after the fact.

Bush said nothing at first and every one got on the Bin-Laden bandwagon, while Bush arranged for Osama"s family and friends here to fly out of the country. George Sr. is on the same board as some of Osama's relatives by the way, but Osama has been on the wanted list for years prior to 911

For whom?

Right after the attacks he was sort of an issue with Bush, so he could talk tough and make people think he has a big wee-wee and that he actually cares about the safety of his citizens.

But from the start, Bush wanted his people to pin 9/11 on Iraq so he could have an excuse to wage war there (which he wanted to do even before the election of 2000).

For many people, he is still an issue, in that most Americans would like for the people in power to make some attempt to find him so he can stand trial for crimes against humanity. But then, being a war criminal himself, Bush is not at all interested in doing so.

It's a 'sour grapes' mentality. For a while he was Bush's 'most wanted'. But- since he diverted our anti-terrorism effort off to an uninvolved country (which he finally said so himself in last week's press conference) and didn't capture Bin-Laden, he deemed Bin-Laden "no longer important."

However- there may be some truth to this as well. Since Bin-Laden is essentially cut off both organizationally and financially from the now world-wide Al-Queda movement, he's nearly irrelavent to the movement he started.

Let's look at the options: If we were to kill him, he'd become a martyr- further inciting his cause. If we arrest him- he'd become a political prisoner- further inciting his cause. By not pursuing him further, but keeping him trapped in his underground world- he actually garners less media attention. So- at this point, by default, Bush may be right. Even a blind man stumbles across a morsel every now and them.

I think that he's a huge issue... I think he's responsible for 9-11 and in that attack, he proves that he can make large strikes in the Continental U.S. that create mass casualties...

there is NO OTHER PERSON in the WORLD that has proven that they have that capability... so in that... he's by far the largest threat in the world in my book...

NOW THE 6 TRILLION DOLLAR QUESTION IS... why are we only focusing less than 5 percent of our military on finding him? I think that number should be around 95 percent...

eliminate known threat before you worry about theoretical ones... but we're more worried about what some country MAY have or what they MAY do... when that country has never attacked us or even really gotten very close...

Yes, him and about 1 billion other Muslims who follow the orders of the extremist leaders of that religion. He is only a top priority when we see him get control of enough money and weapons to threaten us. Right now there are hundreds of other terrorist leaders who rank higher than him on the threat scale. We'll either get to him in order or he will rise to importance again by luck. As long as we continue to fight terror he will be a wanted man.

He is a thorn under our saddle. Clinton colud have captured him.
But, the results of his actions (Bin-Laden) are the concern.
I would hope Bush place a higher priority on him.

Yes he's an issue. He has declared war on America. He has made a Fatwa (Holy Order) against all Americans, our interests and our allies. He also has the means to take out his hate on us and already has.

Yes he was an issue. He isn't anymore because he's dead, but admitting that publicly means that the immediate threat is over, and who would the masses be afraid of?

He was actually on the top of most of the worlds "most wanted" lists long before 9/11 .... most obvious reason is the bombing of the U.S. Cole years earlier.
