The additive inverse of anything is what you need to add to it to get 0.
If a + b = 0, then b is the additive inverse of a.

Generally, that's easily found by switching all the signs.

1.) 6x squared + x
Inverse: -6x^2 -x
2.) 17ab - 1
Inverse: -17ab + 1
3.) 12a squared +2ab squared
Inverse: - 12a^2 - 2ab^2
4.) 4m cubed - 7m + 5
Inverse: -4m cubed + 7m - 5
