how can you sum up all of Europe, the United States and South America into "Western Culture" and all of the Indian subcontinent into "Indian Culture"? There are far too many variations contained in both to even discuss them based on that description. Plus, like everyone else said: there is no such thing as a better culture.

I know very little about Indian culture but I have heard that they use a caste system. If that is true then I would probably say that western culture is better, even though western culture does have a lot of excesses.
Also, western culture spans a lot of different countries.

food for thought: western culture is hyper left brained, "rational", scientific, yang, materialistic, "solar". indian culture is the opposite. what is needed is a culture which offers a healthy combination of the two, eh? extremes are never healthy in the long run..the west provides the technology for annihilation, and mind rather than heart, etc. india provides the moon, the feminine, the heart, the artistic, but, also a certain degree of chaos , disorder, and starvation. ;-)

cultures are one and the same depending upon the places where the people live. so the places decide the culture of the people.hence the potentiality of the place is taken into consideration for better living, not the culture. o.k.

Culture is culture,
Being different doesn't make one better or worse.

Its better you don't ask such inane questions. Think about more positive things.Don't you realize if someone thinks one culture is 'better' than another it means he thnks one is lesser than another?
That's just the wrong way to think!

They both sort of influence each other, really. I can't say which one I like better because I enjoy them both!
