Last week Paramount Pictures dropped Tom Cruise and didn't renew their contract. Do you think that was a big mistake? Or do you think his interview with Matt Lauer last year on Post-Partum Stress Disorder and battle with Brooke Shields, his jumping on the couch on Oprah, and the watergun incident when promoting MI3 in Europe with the press, cost him the deal? Half of Hollywood are with him while the rest agrees with Paramount. Do you agree with Paramount or with Tom, when his production company decided to end the deal before they dropped him?

Paramount. A corporation has a right to hire and fire whoever they want. I suspect they are tired of him shoving Scientology down the throats of people on the set and using his movie promotions to promote Scientology.

The big reason is the bottom line. It is all about the green backs. If someone does not make the money they want or is a risk for money they want out. It is not worth the risk. Tom is down on approval ratings. Other actors do not have the problems he does they just come in and act. Tom could have grown old gracefully, but instead he chose to be shoved out. Many people want to act and they do not bring an agenda with them. Paramount can hire another actor easily who will just do the job and not cause a public relations nightmare. They can just make their money. It is all about money they really do not care beyond that, but if other stars refuse to work in an environment with one star having a pushy Scientology clan that could cause a problem.

There will be plenty of other people in line to make movies. It was a good decision.

It will be nice to have misinformation off the TV and a nation of compassion and tollerance. Booke did not kill her baby like Andrea Yates because she got proper help. It was very kind to share her story to help others. What does Tom want more dead babies and children? I sure do not want that to happen. Medications save lifes. Prevention is the key. People forget what this is all about.

i don't care what he says or does.i love tom cruise and always will.if he can't express himself in this country then he may as well live in cuba.he is a great actor and one of the few celebs that actually stops and talks to his fans.signs autographs all the time and never walks away from a fan because someone is telling him to move on.it's paramounts loss.i have followed his entire career and he has come a long way.not by paramount but because he is good and kind.most of the people that have put him down are the jelous ones .he will have no problem getting another company to pick him up.don't forget he left them.they were probably trying to take too much control of him.

When you are as famous as Tom is.. why does he care. Paramount is loosing on someone who brought them BIG money deals. Tom is a create actor and I don't think that he really did anything wrong. We are all human and he was acting the way he felt at that moment in time. I am sure all of us have done worse. Some one else will sign Tom on and make the money and Paramount will be crying soon. Nice question!

At first, I didn't like Tom Cruise. Then I saw him in Rainman and liked him. Then I saw him in Collateral and really liked him. Then I saw him on Oprah and thought "this guy might be a great actor, but he's completely off his rocker." If I were an executive for Paramount, I would put as much distance between us as possible.

Paramount Pictures had every right to drop Cruise. To be honest, I think his behavior last year was immature, insulting and rash. He may be rich and famous, but Sumner Redstone, Paramount president, is the WEALTHY man that signs his paycheck. Tom Cruise needs to learn to keep his religous and personal beliefs to himself and just focus on making movies.

1. Paramount is cutting their losses fast. They're a business. I would fire someone who publically represented my company making bizarre comments & acting strangely. It would be very hard to market him after he has brazenly made a fool of himself and rudely hurt others who did not agree with him.

2. Cruise has turned into a babbling fanatic — should have stuck to his job and avoided the pulpit.

3. Psychiatrists and Psychologists are big threats to the mind controlling cult of Scientology. Scientology does not want a medically qualified person to straighten out the mind of anyone they have soft-soaped the money out of.

I am with Paramount - just because he is a rich film star he can't run around acting like a madman, if he was an ordinary citizen he'd have been ostracised in his normal life way earlier than Cruise has.

I think Tom Cruise is going through the change of life,or something. He is acting really weird.Almost like he's on caffeine high or something.I'm glad he apologized to Brook Sheilds as he sure was way off on that one.But i think he needs to sit down and think for a minute what his antics are doing to his income and to his family.

of course half of hollywood is with him. if i know anything, it is simply that actors always stick together, no matter what. but tom cruise has turned into a complete nutcase. if i were paramount, i would see no way to be able to keep tom cruise. and its a shame, cause he made some pretty decent movies, but he had to go and taint his entire career with his "theatrics"
