When Evanescence first came onto the music scene I was startled at their similarity to the Italian band Lacuna Coil. Recently I have seen some publicity photos that convinced me that Evanescence is attempting to copy Lacuna Coil's visual as well as musical style.
Do you think this is true? And which band do you prefer?
Personally I much prefer Lacuna Coil. I think Christina Scabbia's voice is far more versatile and emotive than the other girl's and they provide a truly subtle fusion of rock and metal. Or, as I like to describe it, "Lacuna Coil is what Evanescence wishes they could be."

i prefer lacuna coil... and you're right, she has a much better voice.
i think that they do have the same style, but i don't know if they're trying to copy it... Anyways, lacuna coil will always be better!!

i think your individual concept. Lacuna Coil is powerful in some recommendations and Evanescence in solid in another recommendations. Evanescense isn't uncomplicated Rock With determination Rock yet Lacuna Coil is determination metallic.

Lacuna Coil, hands down. Evanescence is alright, but they seem to be trying to copy LC's style. I'm more into metal, and Evanescence in more alt./goth rock.

Evanescence. Don't know the other band, but am going to check them out. There alot of band out there that sound the same as others.
