The Canadian side is way better!!!!! You can see the falls lit up at night, go right up to the falls on the Maid of the Mist, go to the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, and a whole bunch of other cool stuff like a fun house and a wax hand maker on Cliffton Hill (not sure if I spelled that right). The ONLY thing the American Side even had OPEN was the Sub Shop and a Gift Store...so the Canadian side is definitely the way to go.

Canadian side has all the attractions, you can walk or drive accross the bridge to see the US side, but you get the Canadian money exchange to as a small bonus. Lastly if you want to hit any of the strip clubs or "The Canadian Ballet" as we call it, you don't have to go back through customs all drunk and horny late at night! Enjoy the trip, either way Niagara Falls is spectacular. Make sure to ride the Maid of the Mist, hit Devil's Hole and the often missed Great Gorge trip where you can see the actuall barrels people went over the falls in.

There isn't a thing on the American side. Its all on the Canadian side. The falls are beautiful but Niagara is out to get your money so be careful!! Its not a very big place but they call it a mini las Vegas its all neon lights etc, however I would be very disappointed if las Vegas really looked like that. Its like glitzy but not a great deal of money has been put into it!?!? Still the falls, the IMAX theatre, Red squirrels and Toronto only being about 30Min's away are all worth the trip.

Going to Niagara Ontario is better view and better atmosphere is like being in Times Square or the Strip at Las Vegas. It's more expensive.

In American side most hotels are real close to the border. I stayed at Four Points hotel It was wonderful to cross the bridge border every day or at 3 am at night. I certainly do it again. It's safe and cute. Romantic and panic open space.

Have a nice trip.

id say canadian as they have the horshoe falls where we did maid of the mist and enjoyed eating lunch looking down onto it you can also see the american falls easily from this side but not vice versa! the canadian seems to have more attractions nd hotels their side and i noticed more gift shops but whilst there if you take a passport you can cross over for a period of time to check out the other side and decide then if you want to go back !

It is better on the Canadian side. The falls are bigger, the people friendlier. I went there in May and we even got splashed a little. They also have tours. Even though Iv'e never been on one myself I heard they were awesome.
