Yes. I am a practicing Witch. Have been for a while, now, and I aim to die a Witch.
Witchcraft in the Western world has been flourishing since around 1951, when Gerald Gardner announced to the world that he's been initiated into Wicca, not long after the repeal of the Witchcraft Act in the United Kingdom. Wicca celebrated the 50th anniversary of that momentous day back in 1951 - it's 55 years old now.
Also, recently in Zimbabwe I believe, witchcraft was legalised; but that is a whole different kind of Craft, called muti, which has more in common with vodoun and the worship of the African orishas than European witchcraft.
But in short: Yes. Witchcraft is alive and well.
To investigate witches in the modern world (not the vovoun or "muti" kind, just the regular Wiccan / Pagan kind), follow the link below. You could also dig around on your own over the Internet; there are plenty of Cyberpagan and Cyberwitch sites and resources around.

I believe there is some kind of magic in the world that maybe like witchcraft but as i dont know what it is i can't say that is is witchcraft. I dont believe in god and therefore things that people are say are God's work, but maybe thats the witch's/ wizard's saving the day. Who really knows, without being one?
I'd love there to be able to do witchcraft but no i dont practice it.

Absolutely. Yes I believe in it. Yes I practice it. Yes many other people practice it and believe in it. Hundreds of thousands maybe!
Go and enjoy yourself and research the topic if you are really interested. For listings around the world see www.witchvox.com with thousands of witchy contacts. www.avalonia.co.uk for some excellent articles and information. www.witchfest.net for an idea of just how many very large events take place in the UK alone, sometimes with thousands of people attending.
So Witchcraft is real. Just like trees and clouds, whether you believe in it or whether you don't, whether you are aware of it or oblivious, that doesn't change a thing.
It happens. It is happening. And with a full moon coming up soon, thousands of people the world over will be performing ceremonies honouring the Gods, spirits and doing spells and incantations for their own reasons.

I am a solitary witch. i practice and believe in witchcraft. It is not evil nor is it good. It to me is a way of life, not something I think I may do because I feel like it.
I had my start on this path with wicca. I soon felt like wicca was new age hippies running around trying to make others feel goos about themselves (not there is anything wring with that) It was not the religion for me. i was looking for something deeper more profound. I have found my path and i am very happy. But that is another story...
YES!!! I believe in witchcraft!

In this country and in many civilised countries, women are turning from male-dominated religeons to the Old Way, where women used herbs, chants and feminine intuition to heal and to encourage health and happiness. Its called Wicca. They use crystals, meditation, sound therapy and plant extracts to heal.
A Book called The Spiral Dance is a perfect beginning if you are interested, and has been used as part of the Degree course reading in Religeon and Social Sciences. Its a very good read.

Dont beleive in magic but the pagan/wiccan relgions appears to be the best as nicest... never hear of witch wars... they worship nature, have no problems with sex or nudity and are not sexist at all.
The spella are psychology and psychosexaul psychology... ie how girls control guys., medicine, science and drugs..
Its very peaceful... basically hippies

Yes i believe in it coz if theres good there must be evil. cant have one without the other. i believe very strongly in God and i know that there are people out ther who believe very strongly in the devil and practice ways of destroying peoples lives. witchcraft is not a joke its real. i hope u havent gotten yourself into something you cant get out of. pray and everything will be fine.

Yes. I have been an 'officially recognised' witch (if that is possible) for the last 20 years. No, I don't own a pointy hat, my cat is white, not black, and I don't dress in black all the time! :)
