as long as you like the way you look and it makes you feel good....don't worry about what others say. I find alot of people judge simply because they are jealous...and haven't got the guts to be as bold as you are. I say way to go!!!! Love yourself...be happy...enjoy your life and be the way you want to be. Cheers!!

Because most people have what I call, a Barbie Doll effect. Everyone thinks they should look and act a certain way to fit it. It's completely ridiculous. I dress in what I feel comfortable in. If you are comfortable about how you dress, then there is nothing wrong with it. Some of my best friends are goth. They are some fo the nicest and coolest people I know. I don't personally dress the same as them, but that's my choice. I don't judge them on what their hair looks like or what clothes they wear. Beauty is all in a person's personality. Anyway, this is what I think. I'm glad you feel good about yourself. Good Luck hun and God Bless!

People are influenced by things they are told. Some people judge me because I'm in a wheelchair but mostly, I'm lucky. Little kids come up to me and say things like "Why are you sitting in a pushchair?" I laugh and say "Cos I was born with wonky legs and would fall down if I tried to walk like you." They understand that and treat the next disabled person they meet a little more openly. Anyway, maybe you just think you're being judged?? For all you know, no one has even noticed.

Why do you dress the way you do?
You're trying to make a statement.

In you're case that's:
"I'm an outcast and am trying hard to be different. I want my appearance to be so far out of the norm that it causes shock and surprise. I want my appearance to make people associate me with horror and death"...

and you're surprised that people have a reaction??? Please.

And don't tell me you're being "original" because I'm sure you look like everyone else in the "goth" crowd. You're just a conformist on another level.

People judge every one for the way they look because This is how society is and it would never change. Every one has their own oppion therefore everyone is going to state it. If i must include that everyone in this world has judge some one or something by the way it looks and it would be unfair if some one label it as being superficial b/c we all done it somewhere in a time in our liives. This topic well never be resolved b/c there are to many opions floating in the air and every one is going to think their oppion is the correct one.

You should dress the way that pleases you, that way you'll exude confidence and assurance and be damned with what anyone else thinks of you.
I hate designer clothes and the idea of slavishly following "fashion."
Alot of insecure people follow it just to fit it because they don't have their own identity or individuality.
Being quirky and unconventional but stylish is my cup of tea! You'll never see me with a pair of hair straighteners or those fake acrylic nails!
I was a Goth a few years ago and didn't give a toss about what anyone thought! Go for it!

Slavery in u . s . of america ended over 100 years in the past. purely because slaves weren't knowledgeable does not mean that they couldn't be. some actual DID come across approaches to examine and write, and the outcomes that some African human beings have had on the country proves that you all at the on the spot are not incapable of being knowledgeable. maximum whites were uneducated for the duration of slavery as well.

I know where your coming from I get remarks on my looks just about everyday I know I'm not the best of looking men on this planet and yes I very well be the most ugliest but I live with it I just wish others would just leave me alone , but to answer your question I think people are afraid of what they don't know. and when they don't understand they start speculate, and stereotype, its human nature. all you can to is treat others as you would want to be treated.

its actually human nature-its just the way we are-its partly why we have eyes-animals even do it too-female birds only go for the most brightly coloured male birds-thats why male peacocks look more resplendant than the females-seen a female peacock? they're brown and booring looking-and thats why the males impress them with their blue plummage and tail
Justb ignore any negative judgements cos you are whom you are-and life is too short for insecurity-especially as you are such an attention attracting person in society

People need a way to automatically distinguish different people from each other, so use looks as their prejudice. Good for you, forget everyone else as long as you're content with yourself.
