I used to live very near there in a small town of Spearfish, which I would recommend stopping by. As far as eating goes you should check out Rapid City. They have some excellent restaraunts including but not limited to Red Lobster, Royal Fork (American Buffet), Long John Silvers, Fudruckers, The Red Garter... Or try the Alpine Inn in Hill City if you want a closer location.

Try the US Park Service place up near the sculptures. It looked great in North by Northwest.

Try the town of Keystone or Rapid City.
