saturday after i got out of work i started having adominal and pelvic pain, couldn't go to the bathroom both ways cuz it hurt so bad and yesturday it was worse so i went home sick from work and went to the ER, cuz i thought maybe i had UTI, and that wasn't the case, cuz the ER dr's said i am pregnant and they think it's a ectopic pregnancy cuz of the symtoms i had, but when they did 2 different ultra sounds they couldn't find any baby, cuz im very early in my pregnancy, i am going to see a GYN dr this afternoon, for more tests and another pap and ultra sound, what are the chances of a supposed ectopic pregnancy turning out to be a normal pregnancy? i have been pregnant b4 and had a health baby, she will be 3 next month! i am not experienceing any severe pains today, just feel alittle sore! has anyone had this problem b4 or was told it could be a ectopic pregnancy but turned out to be a normal pregnancy?

well the pain was all over mainly on the righ side, but all over like i felt pain in my buttox and pelvic area, like as if i was in labor or something, they did a external ultrasound and couldn't find a baby so they did an internal ultrasound and still couldn't find a baby, so they think im just too early in my pregnancy for an ultra sound to find a baby, i feel alittle pain now, but not as bad as yesturday, i just feel cramp like pain on my right side and my back...the ER drs prescribed me with Vicadin to take for the pain, it helped some what!

Many women report the kind of pain you are describing from the development of the corpus luteal cyst. This would not affect your chances for a healthy pregnancy or baby. They will likely wish to draw HCG levels every other day as your early pregnancy progresses. There is usually a difference in the doubling of your hormones that is noticeable if there is an ectopic pregnancy present. You will need very close monitoring. If they see anything concerning, they will want to do laparoscopy to be able to try to view the embryo. If in the fallopian tube or ovary, it is not always readily visible on ultrasound. It is very possible that the sac is not yet visible if you are very early pregnant. Don't worry yet. If you have an ectopic pregnancy, it will need to be ended to save your life. There is no way for the embryo to grow enough to survive. If they find it outside of the uterus, they may be able to give Methotrexate injections. In most cases, the safest course is laparascopic surgery to preserve the tube.

When I was 4 weeks and a few days pregnant I had some cramping in one side of my abdomen, the next day I contacted the Dr, and they sent me to have an ultrasound, which they did not find any baby or sac, after that the Dr told me that they were 95% sure that this was a case of ectopic pregnancy. Obviously my DH and I were devastated. That afternoon they sent me to the Hospital to perform a Laparoscopy, they said if I didn't get the surgery I could die. So of course they are the experts and my DH and I went to the hospital to have the surgery done. After the surgery they realize they made a big mistake and that my baby was perfectly fine in my womb where it should be, he was just too small to be seen in an ultrasound.
They put me and my baby in risk with that surgery, now what they called ectopic pregnancy turned out to be a beautiful and bouncing baby boy, born on Feb,25 2006 at 8:06 P.M. 8 lbs 2 oz. His name is Jace Aleksander.
Wish the best of luck and hopefully my story give you some hope, have faith and God bless!

The chances of this kind of pregnancy are slim, but they do happen.
If this were the case, the doctors should have been able to see the fetus on any of the ultrasounds -- moreso if they did an internal ultrasound. In order for you to be in pain, the fetus has to have grown large enough to be putting pressure on the insides of the tube itself.
It could turn out to be a normal pregnancy. Both times I was pregnant I had severe pain on my right side -- to the point where I would just curl up into a ball... and forget anyone even coming close to touching it.
Hopefully when you see the doctor everything will turn out all right.
Best of luck

Did they check your ovaries?
I am 17 weeks prego and was diagnosed with cysts on my ovaries 2 weeks before I became prego. Now, cysts are pretty common for most women. Most don't even feel them, but a select few do. I happen to be one of those people who does. I currently have 3 on my right an 2 on my left. When they pop, I feel extreme pain in my right side and lower back. I don't feel the ones on the left. They checked me for the same thing, but ruled it out. The odds of this happening aren't very good. I would definetly make sure there is nothing else going on here. Also, get checked for toxemia and appendicitis. Those are more common in pregnancy. Have them do an ultrasound on you appendix too and make sure there is nothing going on there. If you doc is doing an ultrasound this afternoon, have her look at it at least. Well, I hope I could help. Good Luck and I hope you have a happy pregnancy!!!

I never had a ectopic pregnancy but i have seen plenty of them.... it could be very possible that it is a ectopic..are you having pain on only one side or is it all over your lower abdomin? But you do have a chance that your having a very rough implantation and you have a normal pregnancy..you usually cannot see a sac untill around 5 weeks or even later.

I had a reversal done in Nov. 2005 and that made me at high risk of a ectopic pregnancy. They told me IF I would have one that it could kill me or the baby. Once they find out that that is where it is they usually give you a shot to terminate the pregnancy. BEST WISHES HUN

There are chances for the doctors to be wrong - the pain might be coming from a different cause, and it might be too early to see anything in your uterus. The best thing is to have constant monitoring and ultrasounds with your ob/gyn. Good luck!

I havent heard that before, but, generally the pain would increase, and not subside.
Besides that, in order for the embryo to cause pain it has to be large enough to irritate the tube, and generally by then they can see SOMETHING...
Although i do know of them not being able to find the embryo until 8 weeks by ultrasound, but that was only one person I'd heard of.
I'd just hold tight until after your doctors visit.

There is no chance with an ectopic pregnancy. There is no room for a baby inside your tubes. You will have to have surgery to have it removed. I'm sorry and good luck.
