I do it just before my inlaws come over to visit.
The dog lets out some wretched bad air.
They don't stay long.
The dog is okay afterwards and I have my house to myself again.
Am I hurting the dog?

if he didn't like it he wouldn't eat it! I know my dogs wont eat anything they don't like!....and it sounds like it really benefits you too..lol... he really is your best friend isn't he? !!!!!

Yes, you are hurting the poor dog internally that's like given a newborn baby hot sauce!!!! Think about it, he's suppose to have dog food and dog treats not Tabasco sauce that's horrible!!!

That's a very good trick. But you're not really hurting him. Dogs have really strong stomachs, that's why they can eat their own vomit and be okay. It's a question of moral.

If your dog dog doesn't seem to be in obvious discomfort, it probably is O.K. if you don't do it all the time.
If the dog seems to be burning you may want to give it a milk chaser.

Don't be stupid! A dog can eat the droppings of sheep and lick pi.ss off a nettle. It can lick clean what you would waste toilet tissue on. My dog can fart a holocaust. My in laws, they fear to enter my cave. Spit whiskey into its mouth and watch it rejoice.
