You can search Google with the terms "free fonts download" and you can find hundreds of free fonts to download.
Fonts are usually downloaded in Zip format. WinXP can open a zip file and then you can extract the font file. It works better to extract the file first before installing it. I usually extract the font file to the desktop first.
Then merely open the Control Panel - Fonts, and then simply Drag and Drop the font file into the fonts directory. You will get a message showing the file being installed and then any program which you open will have this file ready to use.

Go to http://www.fontface.com/ and then click on the red face and then when the other page comes up there will be a-z at the top click on what ever and when you see a font you want click download its free.
