go to start
go to control panel
go to network and internet connections
go to internet options
the window that comes up will have a spot in the middle saying clear history.
this will clear the history from your url
while you are there don't forget to delete cookies and temp files which is the square above it....this will clear any lagging you have as well.

Try a right click on the address you want to remove. When the window opens, scroll down and click on Delete.
Or, you may be able to drag the address you want to get rid of to the recycle bin.

Search your system for the cookie that leaves the address and delete it. Make sure you do a whole computer search, not just your hard drive, since cookies are often stored elsewhere as far as your directory is concerned.

Go to www.download.com
and download IE Privacy Keeper 2.7. It will do what you want,
it is freeware and works. You can read about it on the download.com site. Also, you might consider downloading CCleaner 1.30.310 which is freeware and does a good job of cleaning up your computer.
