Sure you can. What's the pumpkin going to do, leave?

Seems like a waste to me, unless you are talking about disposing of used tea leaves.

You should not really throw leftover tea of any kind onto plants. It has a tendancy to develop a mould on the soil which may kill your pumpkin plant.

If you don't want to waste the tea, why don't you put it into a plastic bottle in the fridge, et voila - iced tea whenever you like..

Pumpkins are pretty Strong plants. The tea leaves will add good stuff to the soil ...vegetable manner, and change the soil towards more acid, I'd be interested in knowing what happens at harvest time.

I don't see why not. Tea contains some nutrients, however it will acidify the soil somewhat which may or may not be desirable depending on your soil type.
