i think TV does seem to be getting funnier and smarter lately, but then something like Deal or No Deal comes out and it's like...wow, end of civilization. Anyway, what are some good shows?

Well, The Office just won the Emmy award last night. Maybe check that out.
I personally really like Scrubs. The one thing to look forward to is the new fall season. There are a few shows that look interesting. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and the one by Tina Fey look pretty funny.

Smartest & Funniest is Arrested Developement, it got cancelled because it's too smart and funny for people, but as of tomorrow all 3 seasons are out on DVD. Buy them don't rent them because you can go back and catch so much stuff you missed in earlier viewings. Great show and it will be sadly missed!

If you are talking about game shows, I don't know. I'm not that into them. But I love the show House. It's hilarious and very interesting. I highly recommend you watch it!

I really think that Two and a Half Men is good....don't know how "new" it is. It's been on over here in the UK for the past year.
