I see it's fashionably "acceptable" if your shoes and purse don't match. I like it that the old "must match" tradition is gone, but I'd like to get feed back on how much variation between styles and colors looks good. What if you have a dressy bronze bag and simple brown sandals? Or flat black loafers and beige corduroy hobo bag? Can anything work with anything now?

Your bag and shoes don't have to match, they just have to "go". That means that they are similar, but don't have to be the same color. You wouldn't wear sneakers with a glittery clutch, and you wouldn't wear strappy heels with a tote bag. Even though your shoes and bag can be flexible, not everything goes with everything. Like you said, a dressy bag can't go with casual shoes, but black shoes can go with a brown bag. Black and brown are both neutrals and can go with anything, including eachother. As long as the accesories somehow go with the outfit, they don't have to match perfectly.

I observed somebody donning pink shoes, a pink handbag, and a huge pink belt in Salamanca, Spain like each and every week in the past. the persons there are very usual, in spite of the shown fact that it did look somewhat ridiculous. i might recommend basically tournament 2 out of the three 'reason it became form of too lots.

i LOVE to accessorize. i actually try to let my bag stand out. let's say i'm wearing a black and white outfit, i'll have a bright red or orange bag. and then my belt could be a little off, not as bright. the shoes... i never heard of that (shoes matching your bag). i think the bronze/brown sounds nice. don't know about the black/beige cause it really depends on the outfit. i think you should concentrate on contrasting. i love that look. i think right now, it's all about taking chances. :) good luck hun. :)

You never want to match your handbag to your shoes, just like you shouldn't match your lipstick to your shirt.
