because sleeping at 5 or 6 am is sweeter than 2 or 3 am...lol, so the wake up is harder.

Nice photo, is that really you?
Usually body shutdowns around 4-5pm i.e no digestion activity, metabolism low. So body uses a lot of energy at this state for sleeping which makes you really tired. Hence it is harder to wake up after 4-5pm as you stated.

I don't know but I'm getting sleepy and I'm ready for a nap. I can't sleep at night. I got up this morning at 6:30 and I feel like I'm about to fall over.

I find it hard to wake up at anything that ends in AM!
But in seriousness, it probably has something to do with REM sleep and with your dream patterns as to if you feel rested or not.

you are in R.E.M. sleep later in the morning. I'm the same way. I hate waking up in the morning. I hate it.

because by 0200/0300, you haven't reached your deepest sleep so it is easier to arouse because you are in a lighter sleep whereas at 0500/0600, you are WAY deep into your sleep state.
