What type if Computer?

What type of computer is suitable for an 11 year old girl? Please include the most information. If you can, give me some links to websites for some good deals..

Not sure what you mean by 'type'. Unless you mean Apple vs. PC.... Computers these days are pretty much all the same, just some different options like processor speed, amount of memory, and power of video card. There are literally hundreds of different configurations. As another answer stated, if your 11 year old is playing high grafics intensety games or doing video editing or cad drawing, honestly any old computer will do. For an 11 year old girl, I would go down to my local electronics store and find their cheapest computer. By the time she gets to High School, you will have a better idea of what kind of things she wants to do with it and, at the rate technology advances you will likely need to buy another one anyway. Honestly, my kids spend most of their time using chat, Myspace.com, and using the internet to research for homework. The most important thing to do is monitor what they are doing (I do) so they don't get caught up in something they are not ready for. There are a lot of bad, and just plain wierd folks on the internet!

It depends what the girl will be doing. If she will be playing graphic intensive games, she will need a pretty good one. If she will just be browsing the web, she will not need one quite as good.
