I am on this medication and I didn't have any side effects. I didn't gain any weight on this medication, but I do gain water weight right before my period (who doesn't), but after it is done I lost that excess water. I like this pill a lot, but everyone is different. Good luck!

Isn't 40 a little old to be taking birth control? The risks are very high for blood clots.....And if you smoke too, you're at extremely high risk.

Why ddin't your doctor tell you? There should be an insert in your Rx package that tells you what your expected side effects are.
