I would imagine he's still in the movie or maybe in the television series that followed...go to blockbuster, I'm sure you can still rent it. Altough I don't know why you'd want to?!

Unfortunately, that means that he is alive forever. If you recall, that is not what he wanted when the numbers got reduced.
