I mean half the reason I think people smoke the SENSOUS HERB is to say SC REW the GOV'T...
If they REGULATED it and made it LEGAL don't you think a lot of people would LOSE THEIR INTEREST, and be less PARANOID when they did smoke it?

I think it would lose some of it's draw as it would no longer be the bad thing to do. Also if it were taxed and regulated, the government could probably pay the deficit a couple times over from the really die hard stoners. I do not think it is any worse than alcohol and would simply suggest ads similar to tobacco and alcohol which give standard information as to the possible side effects, Oh yeah, and there should be one that says friends don't let friends smoke weed and drive...you might loose you cheetos!

No. They will still continue smoking.

I don't think people would lose interest.

More people started drinking when alcohol became legal after prohibition was repealed.

Many people who want to smoke now cannot because they would lose their jobs.

And actually the price would go down because it would be more widely available. Price goes up when things are scarce and hard to get.

yes i believe ur absoutley right. i mean for example take amsterdam where drugs are legal. they have the lowest percentage of drug addicts/overdoses...once u take away the "fun" of doing something your not supposed to be doing..many people will not want to do it...and if it was regulated then it could be kept under control...i dont like pot from experience..but i believe that if u want to do it then you should be able to...also there are MANY other kinds of plants..i cant think of them off the top of my head...but there are many plants that are totally legal to have...but have the same effects as pot and are just as dangerous if not more. so yes.legalizing it would be a very good thing in my opinion

how many people can't wait to be 21 so they can drink legally? making alcohol legal sure hasn't cut drinking or drunk driving.

of course, with all the regulation of smoking, where would these folks find a place to smoke :)

No. I think it would definitely put the tobacco companies out of business and put the Twinky Company #1 on the Fortune 500!

Yes, cause it's something about going against status quo, being a rebel and doing something that's against the law. Plus if it was legal they would tax it and prices would go up.

yes, I do and it would depend on the price how much people would pay for it just like anything else.
