A Question or Two.

Do you live to work, or do you work to live?
Do you always take, do you never give?
Is job satisfaction to you never known?
Do you sleep in a house, or live in a home?

At the end of the week when you take your wage,
Do you look at the tax and fly into a rage?
Or do you accept when they deduct what’s due,
To take care of the poor who are unable to?

Do you rant and rave at the strange refugee?
Whose odd clothes and colour, is all that you see?
Never thinking that your folks were in the same plight,
When they came to this country to start a new life.

Do you never see beauty, where beauty exists?
Do you argue your point and always insist
That you’re always right, never once were you wrong,
Have you ever bothered to learn a love song?

When you answer these questions, whether it’s Yes or No,
It makes little difference provided you show,
That it’s possible to change even at this late stage,
And have love and peace ‘till you reach your old age.

I think we should be more like the Europeans and work to live.. in Europe most people seem to work in the morning and then take about 3 hours off for lunch and then work through from about 3pm til about 6/7/8pm. I would much rather do that then work straight through from 9-6 because in this country because of the obsession with living to work there is no time to relax and have fun.

I work to live. As far as I'm concerned I'm just a number in the job I'm in. My line manager is a joke and has no clue what he is doing. He couldn't manage a cold let alone our section. People become to obsessed with having the best job with the most money. It's nut really. You don't need millions to survive or have fun. Besides you'll be so stressed and tired from getting all the wealth and things that you won't be able to enjoy them

Yes, that is true with the majority. If you do not work and have a stable future--what will you do when you get 80 years old. For some that can make their money at a young age--can retire at an early age. We need to think of our senior years.

1. Yes...the obsession is in materialism.
2. Yes...of course we are never happy...there is always 'more' we can earn or gain.
3. No...rich people are no more or less happy than anyone else. It mostly depends upon what makes you happy...materialism or something else? High power jobs kill because of stress. Check the statistics on that one.

How witty! enable's see, i am going to bypass with those who were actual Yankees. None of those "guns for employ" like Reggie Jackson. To me he's not extremely a real Yankee. How about Whitey Ford or Ron Guidry or Bernie Williams or Derek Jeter or Yogi Berra? wager i ought to ought to bypass with Yogi.
