So they were here last week doing a family's house. (The Blivens family for next season) and believe it or not the ABC people LOST the family's dog. He got spooked and ran away I guess, they are not really saying the whole story. I was shocked! So now this family has a brand new house but they're very important family member is gone because of this gift.

How angry would you be? If ABC offered you a house and you knew that they would lose your dog would you turn down there offer. This really disturbed me but I am a animal fanatic. I would tell them to take the house and shove it. Would you react the same way?

Okay, let me correct myself a little bit here. Of course I appreciate abc for the gift but my question is really how upsetting would this be to other people. I went to the house when the family returned and watch them move the bus, but all I could think of was how sorry I was that they were coming home and there dog wasn't there. It put a damper on all the happiness I felt for the family. I was wondering if the kids, etc were feeling devastated by it. One of the kids has cerebral palsy and I think that this was his animal. I really felt bad about the whole thing.

Listen. If they did something deliberately negligent, then I'd be ticked as well. But, with all of the legal and insurance people they tote around with them, do you really think it was negligence or the more likely accident?

C'mon now.

I hope it was just an unfortunate accident and that they have agree to help look for the dog and to replace the dog with another one of the same breed if they cannot find the lost dog

are you serious or are you just a nutjob???........ these people probably spend way over a million bucks to build a very beautiful house......... now of course i would be upset because an important memeber of the family was lost...... but not to sound mean but............. its a freakin dog!!!!!......... these people on extreme makeover are doing a very special thing to alot of deserving people....... and for you to ask if someone would tell them to take the house and shove it would be very disrespectful.... i would miss the dog..... but i would learn to cope. Providing my family with a great loving home would be first priority

they are fairly donated. we've volunteered and spoken to the communities and asked the comparable questions and we've been recommended. there isn't any new loan. and all products are donated. all that happenes moneywise for the recipient is that except somebody else will pay their previous loan, they nevertheless owe on the previous one. so if that they had 100k left earlier the recent residing house no count what its properly worth (maximum have been guessed to be properly worth 450+) they nevertheless purely have the 100k. And as long as they do no longer take out a clean loan like the countless families have, they never ought to problem approximately dropping the residing house. i think of it is exceedingly staggering and that i comprehend we had countless relaxing volunteering!

Lets see, a poor family gets a new $500K house or they can cry about a dog that they can replace at the animal shelter for $15. I just
don't know.

It depends. If they asked me now if I wanted a new house in exchange for my dog, I'd probably say no. But if they asked me when I was in as bad shape as most of the families they pick... I'd say yes in a heartbeat.

I would like to know why they left their dog behind during the makeover anyway. With all that construction going on, they should have taken their dog with them.
