if i just run a broadband installation cd on my computer and connect a modem of my friend to telephone line, will it connect to the internet. i wont do it, but just wondering..

installation CD will ask you for codes and ISP #s
unless you have a standing account,,,, that CD is usless.

Hi,
Firstly the modem would have to be a broadband modem and the line would have to be broadband enabled or it would not work.
