If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill themselves, is it considered a hostage situation?

Lol. I love your question. It is funny AND interesting. It really got me thinking about this... And yes, I guess it could be considered a hostage situation if only one of that person's personalities would want to committ suicide, but the other personality parts would disagree.

nope, hostage situations involve more then one physical human beings. If that person threatens to kill himself its considered a suicidal situation with a person with multiple disorders.
