This year I got stuck with a random roomate in college. We have absolutly NOTHING in common. She stays in on the weekends, she watches tv shows that my parents used to watch, she is a total neat freak, she wakes up at the crack of dawn even though she doesnt have class till 11. And as much as I try to get along with her she is very moody. So now its only been a week since school started and i already dont like her. what should I do please help me!!!

I'm not a hard core partier myself but i do go out on weekends to have a social life. My roomate has NO social life...and she has absolultly NO friends and she ALWAYS asks if she can join my friends and I, i dont want to be rude so i let her but she sticks out like a sore thumb!!

its to the point where we sit in the same room but dont say a single word to each other, even when my friends come to visit she doesnt even say hi to them! its ridiculous!

Sounds like different personalities. Read up on the Color Code, and Color your future. Find way to incorporate new ideas, it doesn't sound that she is bad but she has been raised in a strict atmosphere. Maybe this is the first time for her to be away since she doesn't have many social skills. You can try to help her along to develop those skills. She sounds alot like me. I am a morning person and I work hard in life. Socially I am not connected but only to my family.

i would say its a good thing if she is a neat freak. she would keep the room clean cuz i kno i dont..my mom has to from time to time..don't get me wrong i kno where every thing is like you do too but its a mess.....just try to get her to relax around you guys..because she sticks out so much maybe thats why she acts like that.people feel umcompfortable around new people...anyway 1 weeks isnot all that much considering her whole life back home...as for weekends and all find her a bf... oh get cable and try watching the shows u like infront of her....its a good thing to wake up early too i wish i could do that. that would give me so much more time to excersize and all.

Who cares? She's your roommate, you're not married to her.
Who cares that she's a neatfreak and stays in on weekends?
Just do your thing, and let her do hers. Be pleasant, but you dont HAVE to be friends. If a friendship develops, great. If not? Don't sweat it.

she is not bad but that is the way she is ans rally i feel sorry for u i cant live a single day with ppl like that but its just bad luck that u had so try live with it
