The real question isn't whether or not the Yankees will win the AL East.
The real question is whether or not the Boston Dead Sox can hang onto 2nd place... or if they're going to fall to third behind Toronto. Their lead over the Jays is only 2 games now.
Yank's and A's in the ALDS, followed by Yanks and Tigers in the ALCS. Then Yanks and Cincinatti Reds in the World Series...
And hello championship. Bust out the champagne, it's time for a parade in downtown Manhattan.

Either the Yankees or the Red Soxs. If the Red Soxs can get their pitching fixed and start hitting the Red Soxs could make a come-back. But if the Yankees continue what their doing and don't collape on its pitching then they have a better chance.

As a Red Sox fan, I can honestly say we are done. The exact moment our team plummeted was when V-Tek pulled up lame at second base a few weeks ago. Since then our ERA sky rocketed and our Runs per game fell through the floor.
With Nixon, Manny, and Varitek out on offense and having 0 pitchers with an ERA lower than 4 (Besides Papelbon). You can write us off.
If we didn't play interleague (16-2) or Baltimore (11-1), we'd be below .500. Sorry but this team just isn't as good as years past.

COME ON MAN. Start pressing those AL East Champion Jerseys, it's a lock. (That being said, they need to split against Boston come the four game series in September, you just never know). I predict the Yankees will play the A's in the first round, then play the Twins in the ALCS, and likely the Mets in a Subway Series repeat (shoot, I gotta call my ticket broker!).

i seriously think so, unless the red sox go on a winning streak of 15 games and the yankees lose a bunch of their games. i think the lead will go down to around 3 games by the end of the season though.

Absolutely.
The Yanks are on track again after losing two to the Angels. Big series against the Kittens in Yankee Stadium starting tomorrow. The Red Sux are history, stick a fork in them.

By the looks of it right now they can really beat the red soxs. As a permanent mets fan sadly i think the yankees will make it to the playoffs.

You bet and then some.
I was at the NYY / LAA game this weekend. I saw a t-shirt that was really funny.. "Hey, Red Sox Fans... There was NEVER a curse. Your team just sucks"
