Sanatana dharma literally means eternal duty or our eternal occupational engagement. This obviously does not mean the occupation which we now have in our society, family, nation, etc. None of those engagements are eternal. Our eternal duty and occupation is devotional service to the Supreme Lord. Each of us is a spiritual being, the marginal energy of the Lord, and our constitutional position is servitorship to the source of our existence the energetic Lord of all manifestations. Because we are now accepting the position of servant to our family, society, nation, dog, cat, etc. etc. we are not happy. Serving these things will never bring us real peace and happiness. We are meant to serve the Whole, the Supreme Lord, and in doing so we achieve complete fulfillment, complete knowledge, complete bliss eternally. In addition, by serving the Lord we do the best service to everyone else also. When the Lord is pleased by our devotional service, called bhakti in Sanskrit, everyone else becomes pleased as well. Just as when you water the root of a tree all the leaves and branches get nourished, serving the root of all existence, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is the best service to all His parts and parcels, all living beings. Devotional service to the Lord is the highest occupational duty for all times and for all people.

Everythin is eternal in a sense, love, hate, truth, lies, everythin, even life. I dont mean the life of one person, but like, life itself..it always carries on....so its the same thing with righteousness, in my opinion. But if you mean the righteosness of the universe, and how it always does right by a person durin their lifetime, well then i disagree, cuz people very rarely get what they derserve, be it somethin good or bad.
