It really depends on what part of NH you need to get to.
Old School has the right answer if you want to go to Portsmouth. Otherwise there would have to be other routes that are easier than going all the way down to Portsmouth.
Also, I like Yahoo! Maps for directions.

What part of New Hampshire? If you take 95 south, you will get to Portsmouth first.
Be sure to stop at Cool as a Moose in Bar Harbor. Enjoy.

Go to www.mapquest.com and put in specific addresses to get exact directions. I traveled 1726 miles from NY to TX with mapquest directions and had no problem at all.
