I am going up to vacation in South Lake Tahoe November 17th and 18th and am looking for a nice romantic Hotel that me and my wife can stay at. Does anyone have any good experiences with some Hotels? Or if you live there please let me know if you know of some good ones. Thanks.

My parents live up in South Lake Tahoe an dI am up there a lot. When I don't stay with them, I always opt for Harrahs or Harvey. Harveys is my personal favorite sinc every room I've stayed in has a lake view. Horizon and Mount Blu are also casnios that have hotels... I haven't stayed at either before... but both are doing remodel at the time. Mount Blu used to be Caesers. Lakeside (locals casino) also has a hotel but its small and looks to be less flashy then the bigger casinos. The Marriott and the Embassy Suites are located within walking distance to the casinos and are really very nice. They are both located right at the Heavenly shopping center (shops, food, movie theater, ice skating rink). There are plenty of chain hotels down 50 (the highway that is also known as Lake Tahoe Blvd... the main strip) such as Motel 6, Days Inn, Travelodge (one that is really quite nice close to the casinos), Best Western), and there is also a place called Fantasy Inn which seems to be popular cuz there is almost never openings there... all the rooms are themed.

a hotel is not romantic..however a nice cottage or secluded place just for 2

i found a few on there for you..go to CA then to tahoe lake area then to south tahoe then sort by sleeps lowest to high and find a nice cottage for 2 or a private cabin with hot tub around 100 buck a night...good luck

If casinos are interior the plan, then South Shore is your maximum suitable guess. The casinos are lots smaller interior the North, and not the place you would be wanting to stay (except you reside on the Hyatt Incline Village - then you definately've water activities and on line casino precise there).
