Hmm...Each has questions. Trent Green statistically is usually the best bet, though boring. Jake plummer is getting pressure from Jay Cutler, though he is declared the starter. The jury is out on Brees' injury and if he can perform to his last year's lofty goals. McNair is in charge of a stagnant offense.
Look at the matchups. Green should probably be your starter, with Plummer and Brees your next choices. Brees could vault to be your starter if he performs well the first few weeks. Good luck...

Drew Brees to start
- Joe Horn and Daunte Stallworth are solid receivers, w/ Bush and McCallister as options out of the backfield. He will have a good year.
Steve McNair and Trent Green to back up in that order
- With Clayton, Heap and Mason to throw to, McNair will finally give the ravens a passing game.
- The Chiefs always have a high powered offense, Green is a good option on the bench to fill in.

Consider the specific team situations each quarterback is in, especially at the beginning of the season.
McNair - new team, that historically is poor at offense. I wouldn't start him until he and the Ravens have proven themselves to be offensive minded.
Brees - Another QB on a brand new team. New offensive scheme to learn and deal with. He's a very young QB, and the Saints have looked bad so far in this pre-season. Another QB to hold until proven.
Green - Decent QB on a team (KC) with a solid offense. And he's been with the team for 5 years. Traditionally he starts his seasons a bit slow, but they are opening the season vs. Cinncy so it could be a nice offensive battle. He's an option.
Plummer - Coming off his best season as a pro, and on one of the best offensive teams in the league (DEN). Unlike KC, Denver normally starts the season very hot and coach Mike Shanahan thinks offense, and passing early on. The addition of WR Javon Walker to the team only helps Plummers outlook at this stage. Also, they open the season against the Rams and there should be tons of offense.
Plummer would be my first choice to start your fantasy season, with Green as a week to week backup, possible starter if the matchup looks to be in KC's favor or if Plummer has trouble.
(of course if you had Manning, Palmer, or Hasslebeck this would all be a moot point and you'd be starting one of them as the clear cut favorite).

I like Steve McNair as a starter, but it's hard to dismiss Jake Plummer and Trent Green. I would go with either of the latter. It doesn't matter who starts or is the backup. Both teams are west coast offenses and will have a big passing game. The other 2 are hard to tell although both are great solid starters for their teams.

As of this moment I would start Trent Green.
Steve McNair- Would be my second choice as he has looked ok with his new team and still has Mason.
Brees- I think he will have a better season than some think but still doesn't have a ton of downfield weapons and coming off shoulder surgery you don't want to rely on him.
Plummer- Could be ok but is desperately struggling to even hold hown starting job as Jay Cutler has looked very impressive in the preseason.
Trent Green- Same team for the most part. Can go downfield and hasn't looked too bad in preseason.
I like Green first than McNair.

I don't see any sure options, but I like the potential of McNair and Plummer. They could be huge. I think Brees will only be okay and I wouldn't start Trent Green for all the tea in China.

Trent Green and Jake Plummer. Brees has not had a good preseason and McNair will be consistent, but not great.

Green to start, Plummer as the back up.
Although I do really like McNair too. A combination of those three would be solid.
