I was ironing a white T-shirt and accidently ironed over the waxy pattern (Brown) and now I have stained the shirt from ironing the pattern. It's like I melted the pattern and I dragged it over the shirt. The stain isn't waxy in feeling at all. The shirt is cotton. Is there any way to remove this stain?

I would very carefully put a brown paper bag over it and then iron it for just a sec or 2 and then pick it straight up so as not to smear again. If it picked some up move to a clean spot on the bag and repeat. If it didn't pick up any maybe you didn't leave the iron on it long enough to get the heat through the bag . Just don't leave the iron on it too long or it will set it in for good. Best wishes!

Try to iron the shirt on the wrong side, use a news paper to absorb the coloring, use a medium heat on the iron. Make sure you do not dry the shirt in the dryer until you have the stain out, the dryer will set any stain that is already there.

you can try several things.

#! try a stain remover. you said the stain isn't waxy so this may help.

#2 try ironing it agin only this time put a brown paper bag over it , or even on both sides. hold the iron on the stained area for a few seconds and then lift it off.

#3 try soaking it over night in some oxy clean, this product works really good on stains.

If it's near a pocket, place an "iron on" insignia over it.
You might start a new fad.
